BHIM – Bharat Interface for Money is Indian mobile application which was developed by NPSCI – National Payments Corporation of India. Indian prime minister Honorable Narandra Modi introduce this applications for Unified Payment Interface (UPI). For immediate payment service this mobile applications is developed on basis of Indian Banknote Demonetization.
The applications named after Dr. Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar, that was introduced first in December 2016. The applications developed with an motto of e – payments through various banking accounts. Also application is capable of sending & receiving money by using UPI payments address. The main functionality of the BHIM applications is it can transfer money in between two or more different bank accounts with in 24 /7 that also includes weekends.
BHIM applications also provide direct interaction with the bank account by getting all require details from any bank account. Like all other payment applications BHIM app also use mobile number register with it to make digital payments. Presently there is no any transaction limit for Rs.1 to Rs.1 lakh though the other charges for transaction may also require.
Currently BHIM app is available 13 different languages & used over 125 lakh citizens of India as said by Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley. More schemes to promote the app will soon get launch he added.
