EU Users Can Delete App Store, Safari, Messages, Camera, and Photos with iOS 18.2

European Union iPhone owners can completely remove several essential apps, such as the App Store, Safari, Messages, Camera, and Photos, with iOS 18.2.

In August, Apple said that it would be making more modifications to comply with the Digital Markets Act in the EU. One of the updates would allow EU customers to uninstall system programs. With the exception of the Phone and Settings applications, practically every app can now be removed in the EU.

The Settings app’s “App Installation” area allows you to re-download deleted apps, like the App Store. In the United States and other nations, third-party apps can be used in place of essential apps like Photos and the App Store, which can be concealed but not completely deleted from the iPhone.
