Finally, it is here! With iOS 18.1, Apple Intelligence is now available. The first wave of Apple’s AI features is now available on your iPhone thanks to the latest update.
The first set of Apple Intelligence features, including Writing Tools for editing and proofreading, Smart Replies for prompt message responses, Notification Summaries, Cleaning Photos, and a redesigned Siri, are included in this release. Additionally, iPadOS 18.1 and macOS Sequoia 15.1, which also started to roll out today, will allow you to enjoy these experiences on an iPad or Mac.
Later this year, iOS 18.2 will have further Apple Intelligence capabilities like ChatGPT integration for Siri, Image Playground, and Genmoji. iOS 18.2 will also have Visual Intelligence through the Camera Control feature for owners of the top iPhone, the iPhone 16.

Regretfully, you must have an iPhone 15 Pro, 15 Pro Max, 16, 16 Plus, 16 Pro, or 16 Pro Max in order to use Apple Intelligence on the iPhone. Nevertheless, iOS 18.1 comes with a number of other enhancements besides AI. To receive Apple Intelligence on an iPad, you will need the A17 Pro, M1, M2, or M4 chips, while on a Mac, you would need an M-Series chip.
This launch is for Apple Intelligence in US English. As part of iOS 18.2, Apple Intelligence will formally launch in December in the following languages: English (UK), English (Australia), English (Canada), Irish, South Africa, and New Zealand.
By using the aforementioned workaround in macOS Sequoia 15.1, Mac users in the EU can utilize Apple Intelligence. Users of iPhones and iPads in the EU will have access to Apple Intelligence and all of its features starting in April.
